Welcome to the Computing / ICT Department!

The ICT curriculum gives emphasis to the development of transferable skills, such as thinking creatively, logically and critically and, in particular, to problem solving and collaborative working skills, all of which are skills that industry experts are looking for.

In addition, our Computing curriculum allows students to develop their understanding of current and emerging technologies, understanding how they work and apply this knowledge and understanding in a range of scenarios.  They develop some technical skills and understanding of the use of algorithms in computer programs to solve problems using programming, and gain evaluative skills whilst discussing the effectiveness of computer programs/solutions.
